The grand opening of the newly purchased church building and the 2009 annual Saint Mary’s day was celebrated on November 28, 2009.
For the first time in New York. His Holiness Patriarch Markorios, the head of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, archbishops, priests and religious leaders were in attendance this historical occasion.
